Department of First Year Engineering

The Department of Applied Sciences was established in the year 1983. It provides the foundation for all engineering branches by teaching common subjects such as English (Communication & Professional Skills), Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. The department is well equipped with Physics and Chemistry laboratories, as well as a Language Laboratory to enhance communication skills. The department also has a dedicated library for students.

The strength of the department is having a team of well-qualified and experienced faculty members who are committed to developing students’ basic knowledge and skills. Along with academics, the department also emphasizes Co-curricular and Extracurricular activities for the overall development of students, including expert sessions on Yoga and Meditation, a Music Club, Poster Making Competitions and other activities.
