- Applying fundamental principles-Student should know different manufacturing processes, be able to do maintenance and trouble shifting of mechanical system/ machinery and perform testing or inspection of mechanical components.
- Job modern tools - They should acquire contemporary skills to utilize the mechanical engineering related software for design, drafting, manufacturing and process documentation.
- Able to apply the knowledge to solve the problems in thermal, fluid and automobile systems.

- Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, sciences and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problem.
